Today we started to put together this Special Tribute Fundraising  Page in memory of our beautiful Son (Sean Michael Sockett,) a special Brother, Uncle, Grandson, Nephew and Best friend to many. The collection box at Sean's special service (funeral) in church raised a wonderful amount  towards a special Legacy for Sean (Sean's Quiet Room) something much needed, helpful, useful. When we were with Sean at the hospital, we saw (end of life care facilities) were few and far between. We just needed a quiet room, where we could have private meetings with consultants and medical staff. Somewhere to have a little time out to get our head together, to make private phone call refreshments, some where more private than the ward  some where to stay overnight in the crucial first 24 hours in emergencies and last days / hours of our loved ones life. In emergencies we just take ourselves and dont think about things we may need and have to make do with . So access to some toiletries would be very useful and helpful too . A bible or Quran would be a comfort to some in the privacy of (Sean's Quiet Room) along with refreshments and a bed settee to rest. A much needed family room will benefit many families and staff on Acute Stroke Ward 21. Leeds General Infirmary and will be a special Legacy in Sean's memory.£2290 was our first donation towards (Seans Quiet Room) transfered to Leeds cares on the opening of this tribute page In the memory of Sean.
